I'm a Multimedia Journalism student at Bournemouth University and the producer of the TV Documentary 'Sleep Eat Fortnite'.

The idea for this documentary came about through discussion with those closest to me. The popularity of Fortnite amongst those in their youth is no mystery to anyone. The startling thing for me is how often the phenomenon came up in conversation with adults. My mum, who works in a school, would come home and tell me about how so many parents have come in with concerns about the impact this game is having on their children.

Since its release over two years ago, Fortnite has never been far away from the spotlight. Cases of children becoming addicted, aggressive and anti-social have circulated across social media more times than I count.

With that in mind, in this documentary I plan to dive into the world of Fortnite and discover why this game has sparked such a national debate over the last two years.
