Fortnite Battle Royale is free to download on every platform, meaning accessing it is easy for children who have games consoles.
Usually, those who play Xbox, PlayStation etc, have to pay fees to play online games.
However, with the Battle Royale element, which involves 100 players fighting to be victorious, it can be downloaded with the click of a button free of charge.
Fortnite has attracted such a huge audience, but I was curious to find out if users of Twitter thought the reason for its popularity, is the fact that this element of the game costs nothing.
I submitted the poll seen below, and the results revealed nearly 85% felt the free element to the game was the driving factor in encouraging people to play it.
Fortnite of course has kept people playing for more reasons, but it's clear allowing free accessibility to its Battle Royale element has almost certainly led to a rapid rise in the numbers of players.
