Over the last few days, I conducted filming at Crofton Anne Dale Infant and Junior Schools'.
Following my discussion with Lillie and her mum a couple of days prior (see entires 5 and 6) I was intrigued to discover the extent to which the topic of Fortnite has made its way into public schools and whether or not it was affecting the children's performance.
Firstly I spoke to Keira Manley, the Head of the Infant School. Her main concern was the fact that parents are allowing their children access to games such as Fortnite, which ultimately involves killing other players online.
However, when I asked her whether parents came in with concerns about how much time their children are playing Fortnite, she revealed that it's often the case that parents are worried that their children are becoming excluded because they don't have the game.
Lorraine Phillips, the Executive Head of the Crofton Anne Dale Federation, echoed Ms Manley's concerns in that Fortnite isn't suitable for children this young.
Her advice for parents was ultimately to understand how Fortnite operates so they can make an informed decision when deciding whether to allow them access.
It was refreshing to hear that both members of staff feel that parents need more knowledge about Fortnite, which is essentially why I am producing this documentary.
